Abstract
Nearly two-thirds of Massachusetts residents say Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has made the country less safe and less than one-fifth trust the federal government to thoroughly investigate recent ICE-related shootings in Minnesota. Majorities support proposed reforms to ICE, including prohibiting ICE agents from entering schools or churches, covering their faces, or making arrests without a judicial warrant, but Bay Staters are more divided on calls to abolish the agency entirely. Less than a quarter of Bay Staters approve of President Trump's handling of immigration or his overall job performance.
