Abstract
A majority of New Hampshire residents think the actions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have made the country less safe and nearly half support abolishing ICE entirely. Only one-third of state residents trust the federal government to investigate recent ICE-related shootings in Minnesota and a majority favor impeaching Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. However, illegal immigration remains a serious issue to most Granite Staters, and approval of President Trump's handling of the issue is largely unchanged since early 2024. A majority continue to disapprove of Trump's overall job performance, with supporters and detractors of Trump frequently mentioning immigration as the main reason for their opinion.
