Abstract

Vice President JD Vance continues to be the preferred candidate by far among likely Republican 2028 presidential primary voters in New Hampshire. On the Democratic side, Pete Buttigieg is the most popular candidate, followed by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris, and Mark Kelly. A majority support a New Hampshire state law requiring the state's presidential primary to be held before any similar contest, with Republicans most supportive. A majority of Granite Staters also support proposed federal legislation requiring photo ID to vote and proof of citizenship to register.
