Abstract
Perceptions of the economy and personal finances among Granite Staters have improved somewhat, driven largely by optimism among New Hampshire Republicans. Personal debt remains a problem, as one in four Granite Staters say they are carrying a balance of at least $5,000 on their credit cards. Expectations for business conditions in the state have risen somewhat but views of the national economy remain gloomy.
