Abstract
Majorities in all six New England states oppose recent attacks on Iran by the United States and most believe President Trump should have asked for Congressional approval before conducting the strikes. However, many believe that the Iranian nuclear program represented a serious threat to the United States before the conflict began. New Englanders are divided on the decision to assassinate Ayatollah Ali Khamenei but generally oppose similar assassinations of political figures during armed conflicts.
