Abstract
Vice President Kamala Harris has increased her lead over former President Donald Trump in Maine and the race is tied in Maine's 2nd Congressional District. Nearly half of likely voters in the state expect Harris to win. Harris is more personally popular than Trump and is rated more highly on several personal attributes, particularly physical and mental fitness and temperament. The Democratic vice-presidential nominee, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, is generally popular in Maine and most Harris supporters are enthusiastic about his selection. President Joe Biden's job performance remains unchanged as half of Mainers believe he has been below average or one of the worst U.S. presidents.
