Abstract
More than one-third of Vermonters were personally affected by the July 2023 flooding in the state, including seven in ten in Central Vermont. Many whose town was affected say it has not fully recovered. Nearly three-quarters of Vermonters approve of Governor Phil Scott's handling of the flooding. Two-thirds of Vermonters believe climate change is happening now and primarily caused by human actions and a similar percentage are concerned about the effects of climate change on the world and their town or city.
