Description
A music manuscript folio with the notation for the songs "Bonny Kate of Aberdeen", "Ranger's Wedding", "Bottle and Friend" and "Trip to Clapham" on the front. The inner pages contain notation for the songs "La Mango", "The Tar's Triumph", "Trip to Teddington", and "The [Court]". The back page is has notation for the song "Federal Cotillon". Sources and some dancing figures are listed on the manuscript. Part of the collection of songs and dances from the 17th and 18th centuries gathered by Bessie Osgood; "Bonny Kate of Aberdeen" is in D major and 4/4 time; "Ranger's Wedding" is in G major and 6/8 time; "Bottle and Friend" is in D minor and 6/8 time; "Trip to Clapham" is in C major and 6/8 time; "La Mango" is in D major and 2/4 time;"The Tar's Triumph" is in D major and 6/8 time; "Trip to Teddington" is in F major and 2/4 time; "The [Court]" is in G minor and 6/8 time; "Federal Cotillon" is in A major and 4/4 time.
