Description

A music manuscript folio with the notation for the songs "Le Plaisirs Allemande" and "La Fête Du Chateau Allemande" on the front. The inner pages contain notation and lyrics for the songs "Dorchester March", "Reeds March", "Du Menuet de la Pupille", "A artial Song, on the taking of Montreal", "Britannica's Promise", and "The Quiver - or Cupid's Promise". The back page contains notation for the song "Wednesday Night". Sources and some dancing figures are listed on the manuscript. Part of the collection of songs and dances from the 17th and 18th centuries gathered by Bessie Osgood; "Le Plaisirs Allemande" is in F major and 2/4 time; "La Fête Du Chateau Allemande" is in D minor and 2/4 time; "Dorchester March" is in D major and 4/4 time;"Reeds March" is in G major and 4/4 time;"Du Menuet de la Pupille" is in D minor and 3/4 time;"A Martial Song" is in C major and 6/4 time;"Britannica's Promise" is in A major and 2/4 time; "The Quiver" is in D major and 2/4 time; "Wednesday Night" is in D major and 2/4 time.
