Description
A music manuscript with the notation for the songs "Foot's Minuet", "Smile Britannia", and "Amorous Old Woman" on the front. The back page contains notation for the songs; "Rival Sports", "Northern Frisk", and "Cheater Fain". Sources and some dancing figures are listed on the manuscript. Part of the collection of songs and dances from the 17th and 18th centuries gathered by Bessie Osgood; "Foot's Minuet" is in D major and 3/4 time; "Smile Britannia" is in C major and 4/4 time; "Amorous Old Woman" is in C major and 6/8 time; "Rival Sports" is in A major and 4/4 time; "Northern Frisk" is in D major and 4/4 time; "Cheater Fain" is in G major and 4/4 time.
