Introducing the University of New Hampshire Law Review
On August 30, 2010, Franklin Pierce Law Center announced its affiliation with the University of New Hampshire, uniting the two institutions to develop greater educational opportunities and to facilitate joint efforts in legal research and teaching, particularly in the areas of intellectual property and social justice. The affiliation also introduced a new name for Franklin Pierce Law Center—the University of New Hampshire School of Law—marking the beginning of an exciting new phase for the law school. For the past eight years, Pierce Law Review has served as the general law review for Franklin Pierce Law Center. During this time, the law review has published an array of scholarly works on various legal topics. The recent affiliation inspired Pierce Law Review to change its name to reflect the law school's new name. The University of New Hampshire Law Review has chosen to publish Volume 9 as a continuation from last year's Volume 8 of Pierce Law Review. Although the name of the law review has changed, it is still a continuation of the past eight remarkable years as Pierce Law Review. This continuity is meant to preserve the spirit and efforts of the many editors who have come and gone throughout those years. Our goal for the University of New Hampshire Law Review is to remain the general law review for the University of New Hampshire School of Law and to advance the study and development of the law through the publication of high-quality scholarly legal writing. With that, the entire staff on the University of New Hampshire Law Review for the 2010-2011 academic year is pleased to introduce the University of New Hampshire Law Review.
