Abstract
More than half of Vermont residents want Governor Phil Scott to run again and a plurality say that he is deserving of re-election. Despite most Democrats in the state saying that Scott is to their political right, a majority approve of his handling of his job as governor. Vermonters are divided on whether Vermont State Treasurer Mike Pieciak or Attorney General Charity Clark should run for governor and nearly half of the state do not know enough to have an opinion on either one. In the race for U.S. Congress, a majority believe incumbent Democrat Becca Balint deserves re-election while her potential Republican opponent, Mark Coester, is not well-known in the state. Majorities approve of Governor Scott's decisions not to send the Vermont National Guard to Washington D.C. and to order state employees to return to in-office work at least three days per week.
