Most Granite Staters Expect Prices of Everyday Goods to Increase; Tariffs Cited as Cause 8/25/2025

Abstract

Granite Staters' assessment of their current household finances and predictions for their financial future remain mixed. Most believe prices on everyday goods have increased over the past twelve months and two-thirds expect them to rise further in the coming twelve months. A majority expect higher prices due to tariffs. New Hampshire residents are divided in their outlook for the state and national economies while just over half feel that the economy overall is getting worse.
