Abstract

Phil Scott remains a popular governor in Vermont, with many citing his handling of taxes and education as reasons they approve of his job performance. Vermonters are generally supportive of several aspects of an educational reform proposal put forward by Scott, as four in ten believe the state currently spends too much on education. Nearly two-thirds support a legislative initiative to ban guns where alcohol is served. More than half of Vermonters cite housing, taxes, or the cost of living as the most important problem facing the state.
