Abstract
Maine residents prefer having artificial Christmas trees rather than real trees, while more than a quarter of Mainers say they will not have a tree at all this year. Two-thirds of Mainers prefer to say "Merry Christmas" rather than "Happy Holidays". Just over half of Mainers expect a white Christmas where they live, particularly those living in Central Maine.
