Abstract
After the 2024 election, Rhode Island partisans have switched their expectations for the national economy, with Republicans becoming optimistic and Democrats becoming pessimistic. Ocean Staters are generally pessimistic about their household incomes in the coming year. Home heating costs remain a significant concern, with seven in ten worried about energy costs this winter. Holiday shopping is likely to be down this year as few say they plan to spend more than last year.
