Abstract
Following President Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race, Democrats in New Hampshire clearly favor Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee. Harris holds a slim lead over former President Donald Trump and is slightly more popular than Trump or Biden. While a majority of Granite Staters do not believe Biden should resign as President, many state Democrats are relieved and hopeful in the wake of his withdrawal from the race. And in the wake of the assassination attempt on Trump, most state Republicans do not trust the FBI to conduct a thorough investigation. More than three-quarters of state residents are concerned about future attacks on political leaders, leaders using violence or illegal methods to obtain power, or people violently or illegally interfering in upcoming elections.
