NH Issues: Strong Support for Recreational Marijuana Use & Gun Control in New Hampshire 2/23/2023

Abstract

Seven in ten New Hampshire residents support legalizing marijuana for recreational use. Majorities are also in favor of several gun control measures, including a background check and waiting period on all commercial gun sales, as well as a mechanism to prevent those who may be a risk to themselves or others from buying a gun. Very few Granite Staters support moving New Hampshire's state primary to June. State residents say jobs and the economy and housing are the most important problems facing the state and most residents see homelessness as a very or somewhat serious issue.
