Abstract

Former President Donald Trump continues to lead other Republicans in the early stages of the 2024 Republican presidential primary contest in New Hampshire. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is viewed slightly more favorably by likely Republican primary voters than Trump, earns the second most support and is the second choice among most Trump supporters. On the Democratic side, a plurality hope President Joe Biden faces a primary opponent but no alternative candidate has been identified. The personal popularity of Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in the state continues to erode and both are at their lowest point in the Biden administration.
