Abstract
Pessimism about business conditions in New Hampshire and the country as a whole has increased since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, most New Hampshire residents continue to rate their personal finances the same or better than a year ago and anticipate their finances will be better or the same a year from now. Optimism about the economy has fallen among New Hampshire Republicans and Democrats: optimism among Republicans is similar to what it was during the Obama administration while optimism among Democrats is at record lows.
