Abstract

Just under half of New Hampshire residents were happy Congress failed to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare, while only a third describe themselves as unhappy. Those who are unhappy blame Democrats and moderate congressional Republicans. Respondents are divided on what they would like to see happen with the ACA in the future, but support for expanding the law has increased since 2013. Residents are divided on the idea of a single-payer system, with Democrats strongly and Independents slightly in favor and Republicans strongly opposed.
