Who Can Submit?
Anyone may submit an original article to be considered for publication in International Journal of Hospitality Beverage Management provided he or she owns the copyright to the work being submitted or is authorized by the copyright owner or owners to submit the article. Authors are the initial owners of the copyrights to their works (an exception to this might exist if the authors have, as a condition of employment, agreed to transfer copyright to their employer).
General Submission Rules
Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or electronic). Please note: "publication" in a working-paper series does not constitute prior publication. In addition, by submitting material to International Journal of Hospitality Beverage Management, the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial decision process at International Journal of Hospitality Beverage Management. If you have concerns about the submission terms for International Journal of Hospitality Beverage Management, please contact the editors.
Formatting Requirements
International Journal of Hospitality Beverage Management has no general rules about the formatting of articles upon initial submission. There are, however, rules governing the formatting of the final submission. See Final Manuscript Preparation Guidelines for details. Although the Editors can provide guidance, it is ultimately the responsibility of the author to produce an electronic version of the article as a high-quality PDF (Adobe's Portable Document Format) file, or a Microsoft Word or RTF file that can be converted to a PDF file.
It is understood that the current state of technology of Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF) is such that there are no, and can be no, guarantees that documents in PDF will work perfectly with all possible hardware and software configurations that readers may have.
Rights for Authors and Publishers
The International Journal of Hospitality Beverage Management is an Open Access publication. Copyrights of articles published in this journal are retained by the authors. The authors grant the International Journal of Hospitality Beverage Management and University of New Hampshire Scholars' Repository a license to publish submitted articles under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 and to identify themselves as the original publishers. The Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 allows articles to be re-used and re-distributed without restriction, as long as the original publication is correctly cited.
Conflicts of Interest
A paper submitted for peer review by an editor will be handled by one of the other editors who is not at the same institution as the submitting editor.
A paper submitted by an author who is at the same institution as one of the editors, a family member, or whose relationship with one of the editors might create the perception of bias (e.g. in terms of close friendship or conflict/rivalry), will be handled by another editor.
Potential reviewers of a submission will be asked to disclose any known relationships with the author that might create the perception of bias (e.g. family members, colleagues from the same institution, close friendship, or conflict/rivalry). Generally, if such potential for bias exists another reviewer will be selected; this is at the discretion of the editors.
On submission, authors will be asked to provide a statement declaring all sources of funding relating to their paper. At the discretion of the editors, a statement may be printed on the title page or at the end of the paper.
