Description
A music manuscript folio with the notation for the songs "Kitty's Whim " and "Minuet de Swedois" on the front. The inner pages contain notation for the songs; "The Bold Privateer", "King Arthur and his Sons" and "I want you to make me a [cambric] shirt". The back page contains notation for the songs "Under the Blankets", "The Prince of Brunswick's Minuet", "Lady Harriot Bentick's Fancy", and "The Merry Laddes". Sources and some dancing figures are listed on the manuscript. Part of the collection of songs and dances from the 17th and 18th centuries gathered by Bessie Osgood; "Kitty's Whim" is in A major and 6/8 time; "Minuet de Swedois" is in G major and 3/4 time; "The Bold Privateer" is in C major and 4/4 time; "King Arthur and his Sons" is in A major and 4/4 time; "I want you to make me a [cambric] shirt" is in F major and 6/8 time; "Under the Blankets" is in C major and 6/8 time; "The Prince of Brunswick's Minuet" is in A major and 3/4 time; "Lady Harriot Bentick's Fancy" is in F major and 4/4 time; "The Merry Laddes" is in D major and 6/8 time.
