Description
A music manuscript folio with the notation for the songs "Mrs. Hamilton of Bangour's Minuet" and "The [Ladies] Farewell" on the front. The inner pages contain notation for the songs; "Handel's Quick March", "Tekeli", "Tink a Tink", "Turkish March", "[Federal] March", "The Recueille", "Handel's Clarinet", "Clementina", "Baltimore" and "White Cockade". The back page contains notation for the songs "Mrs. Nicolson's Minuet" and "The Muses Retreat" . Sources are listed on the manuscript. Part of the collection of songs and dances from the 17th and 18th centuries gathered by Bessie Osgood; "Mrs. Hamilton of Bangour's Minuet" is in E-flat major and 3/4 time; "The [Ladies] Farewell" is in C major and 4/4 time; "Handel's Quick March" is in D major and 2/4 time; "Tekeli" is in F major and 6/8 time; "Tink a Tink" is in G major and 2/4 time; "Turkish March" is in C major and 2/4 time; "[Federal] March" is in A minor and 4/4 time; "The Recueille" is in D major and 4/4 time; "Handel's Clarinet" is in G major and 4/4 time; "Clementina" is in G mixolydian and 6/8 time; "Baltimore" is in G mixolydian and 6/8 time; "White Cockade" is in C major and 4/4 time; "Mrs. Nicolson's Minuet" is in B-Flat major and 3/4 time; "The Muses Retreat is in G mixolydian and 4/4 time.
