Description
A music manuscript folio with the notation for the songs "Chanson de la [Tourterelle]", "Our Beautiful Young Lady", "Gavotte from Nouveau Recueil 1732", and "Fatigue Call or Pioneer's March" on the front. The inner pages contain notation for the songs; "Mrs. Campbell of Shawfield's Minuet", three untitled minuets, and "The Duchess of Buccleuch's Minuet". The back page contains notation for the song "Lady Anne Barnard's Minuet". Sources are listed on the manuscript. Part of the collection of songs and dances from the 17th and 18th centuries gathered by Bessie Osgood; "Chanson de la [illegible]" is in F major and 3/4 time; "Our Beautiful Young Lady" is in D major and 3/4 time; "Gavotte from Nouveau Recueil" is in C major and 4/4 time; "Fatigue Call or Pioneer's March" is in G major and 6/8 time; "Mrs. Campbell of Shawfield's Minuet" is in D major and 3/4 time; the three untitled minuets are in G major / 3/4 time, E major / 3/4 time, and D minor / 3/4 time, respectively; "The Duchess of Buccleuch's Minuet" is in F major and 3/4 time; "Lady Anne Barnard's Minuet" is in E-flat major and 3/4 time.
