Abstract
Four in ten Vermont residents will have a real Christmas tree this year and most often cite the look or smell or tradition as the reason. Seven in eight Vermonters plan to celebrate Christmas, most of whom will celebrate it as a family or cultural holiday rather than a religious one. Given the heavy early snows, most Vermonters expect a white Christmas.
