Abstract
Nearly two-thirds of Northern New England residents (64%) say that out-of-state visitors in the Fall season have a very (29%) or somewhat (36%) positive impact in their local area. Only 10% say that out-of-state Fall visitors have a very (4%) or somewhat (6%) negative impact, while 22% say their effects are mixed. Vermont residents (71%) are more likely than New Hampshire (62%) and Maine (62%) residents to say out-of-state Fall visitors have a positive impact.
