Abstract
Vice President Kamala Harris leads former President Donald Trump in Maine but Trump holds a slim lead in Maine's 2nd Congressional District, the winner of which receives one electoral vote under Maine's system of apportioning electoral votes. Mainers are evenly divided about who will win the national election. Most Mainers are confident their vote will be accurately counted, but Republicans are less likely than Democrats to feel this way. Mainers are concerned about attempts by people to subvert the electoral process or that political leaders will illegally or violently try to seize power, but relatively few are concerned that they or someone they know might be attacked due to their political beliefs.
