Abstract

Republican Governor Phil Scott enjoys support from nearly two-thirds of likely voters in Vermont in his bid for a fifth term as governor and even holds a slight lead over Democratic nominee Esther Charlestin among Democrats. Nearly all likely voters in the state expect Scott to prevail in the race. Independent Senator Bernie Sanders holds a similar lead over Republican nominee Gerald Malloy. Democrat Becca Balint, running for a second term as Vermont's sole representative in the U.S. Congress, holds a similar lead over Republican nominee Mark Coester, who is not well-known at all among likely voters in Vermont.
