Abstract

Vice President Kamala Harris has maintained her considerable lead over former President Donald Trump in Massachusetts as the campaign comes to a close. However, Bay Staters are divided on who they believe will win the national election and become president. Nearly all Democratic and Independent likely voters in the state are confident their vote will be accurately counted, but less than two-thirds of Republicans feel this way. More than four in five likely voters in Massachusetts are very or somewhat concerned that people will try to interfere with the election and that political leaders will be violently attacked due to their political beliefs over the next year, and just over half are concerned that they themselves or someone they know will be violently attacked due to their political beliefs or affiliation.
