Abstract
Massachusetts Senator John Kerry has maintained a narrow lead over President George W. Bush in New Hampshire as the race has slowed during the summer. Favorability ratings for both candidates are largely unchanged. The most important issues to voters in New Hampshire are the economy, the war in Iraq, and combating terrorism.
