GOP Candidates Hold Leads in NH Congressional, Senate Races 4/29/2010

Abstract

Democratic candidates for US Senate and Congress face uphill battles in the 2010 mid-term elections. Former Attorney General Republican Kelly Ayotte has widened her lead over Second District Congressman Paul Hodes in the race for the US Senate from New Hampshire while other Republican challengers are essentially tied with Hodes. However, most voters are far from finally deciding who they will support. Congressperson Carol Shea-Porter trails all of her Republican challengers in New Hampshire’s First District while former Republican Congressman Charlie Bass and 2008 GOP candidate Jennifer Horn lead the top two Democrats in the Second Congressional District.
