Abstract
As the 2026 election draws to a close, Democratic Governor Maura Healey holds a comfortable lead over Republican Michael Minogue in her bid for re-election in Massachusetts. Similarly, incumbent Democratic Senator Ed Markey is far ahead of his opponents in his re-election bid for the U.S. Senate, with many seeing their vote as a way to oppose President Trump. Bay Staters support ballot questions related to same-day voter registration, establishing a nature fund, and upholding a firearm bill, while majorities oppose questions establishing nonpartisan primaries and repealing marijuana legalization. Affordability or inflation and stopping Trump or MAGA are the most important issues to likely voters.
