Abstract
This research seeks to know if there is a correlation between employee training and development programs and attrition in companies. The main target group are individuals in the millennial cohort born between 1982 and 1996. Millennials were chosen because they are the generation with the most employees entering the workforce. The project explores many factors that influence their decision to stay with a company and the many values they desire in an employer. The project utilized peer reviewed journal projects and a survey distributed to the millennial cohort. I am in the millennial generation and have been with my company for 11 years because they have supported my development and training. Many formal millennial coworkers have left this company have caused our attrition rates to skyrocket.
