Capillaria cyprinodonticola sp. n. (Nematoda: Trichinellida) from the Livers of Cyprinodontiform Fishes of the Florida Keys
Abstract
Capillaria cyprinodonticola sp. n. is described from the livers of Cyprinodon variegatus Lacépède and other cyprinodontiform fishes from a marine mangrove swamp in Marathon, Florida. The new species most closely resembles C. petruschewskii (Schulman, 1948) but differs in its simpler egg shell, and its much smaller size.
