Project Description

My project is inspired by my cousin, Michael, who committed suicide in 2019. My project explores the impact that losing him had on me and how it motivated me to create change and spread advocacy regarding suicide. My video then explores a club that was brought to my high school after a boy in the grade below me committed suicide. The group, known as Hope Squad, aims to spread awareness about suicide prevention and teaches members to understand the warning signs of suicide. After being anonymously picked to be a member, my video delves into my experience with Hope Squad and the impact it had on me.
