Disability Inclusion Initiatives in the Hospitality Industry: An Exploratory Study of Industry Leaders
Abstract
The present study seeks to identify hospitality leaders in disability inclusion and the related business practices, benefits, and challenges when proactively recruiting people with disabilities. Through a meta-synthesis approach, eight different hospitality companies were identified, and their experiences with disability inclusion are discussed. The findings from this study can be used to inform hospitality employers and human resource professionals about best practices surrounding the initiation of a disability inclusion plan and set a foundation for future academic research.
