Abstract

Brittle is the Brimstone weaves together a mosaic of stories of mid-20th century life, following characters through the daring 20s, the Great Depression, World War II survival, and the American religious revival of the 50s and 60s. The thesis explores how events and attitudes have shaped our culture and continue to influence our modern way of life, with a brief glimpse into a potential future.
