Abstract

Eco-anxiety is a term that is currently at the forefront of professional development in the fields of psychology and therapeutic counseling. This collection of essays is a recreation of my connection with the environment, both before, and (mostly) after I sensed an imbalance in the natural world, and a disconnect in humans' modern way of life. This is not a book that is meant to educate people entirely on the climate crisis, it is not presenting a solution, it is not a "how to deal with ecoanxiety" memoir. It is a return to places, memories and experiences so that I can articulate my connection to the earth both in memoriam, and to understand how to be in nature, write about nature, and be a nature writer in this new context.
