Abstract
Most Vermont residents do not want Congress to pass President Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill Act." Majorities oppose notable provisions of the Act such as making the 2017 tax cuts permanent and removing tax credits for electric vehicles and solar energy. Following his departure from the federal government, Elon Musk is an unpopular figure in Vermont and two-thirds of state residents believe the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has had a negative effect on the country. Vermonters continue to disapprove of Trump's handling of the economy, immigration, and his overall job performance.
