Abstract
Nearly two-thirds of Connecticut residents believe tariffs will harm the economy and a plurality expect bad times for the national economy over the next year. State residents have ambivalent predictions for the state economy, with a majority expecting mixed conditions for Connecticut's economy. A plurality of Connecticut residents, including most Democrats, predict their personal finances will be worse off a year from now. State residents are divided on whether now is a good or bad time to invest in the stock market while a majority believe it is a bad time to buy a house or have a child.
