Abstract
Granite Staters remain divided in their assessment of their personal finances and their expectations for the next year, but are increasingly pessimistic about the direction of the U.S. economy. Few Granite Staters, particularly Democrats, feel that now is a good time to make major decisions such as buying a major household item, having a child, or buying a home or car. An increasing majority expect tariffs to hurt the national economy and many expect poor economic times nationally in the coming year.
