Abstract

Incumbent Democratic Governor Ned Lamont continues to lead the Republican challenger, State Senator Ryan Fazio, in the race for governor of Connecticut. Approval of Lamont's performance in office has increased since August, fueled by an increase in approval among Democrats. Attorney General William Tong is comfortably ahead in his re-election bid. Most Connecticut residents disapprove of President Trump's handling of trade negotiations with Canada and are concerned about ongoing issues between the two countries. Majorities support the recent adoption of "no excuse" absentee voting and changes to homeschooling regulations. A majority of state residents think prediction markets offering sports bets should not be allowed in Connecticut.
