Abstract

Incumbent Democrat Ed Markey holds a comfortable lead over Republican nominee John Deaton in Massachusetts's Senate race, largely unchanged since August. Incumbent Democratic Governor Maura Healey leads Republican Michael Minogue in her bid for re-election. Approval of Healey's performance as governor has increased since the summer. Massachusetts voters look set to vote "yes" on Questions 6, 7, and 4, but oppose Question 8 which would prohibit recreational use of marijuana in the commonwealth. More than three-quarters of Bay Staters disapprove of President Trump's handling of trade with Canada and are concerned about the ongoing trade strife. In the Lindsay Clancy case, Bay Staters are divided about her guilt and whether a re-trial should be sought.
