Abstract
"2015 Predictions from the Higher Ed Press" is a special episode of Radio Higher Ed asking top higher education reporters their thoughts on the most pressing issues facing the new Congress. Doug Lederman, is the founder and Editor-in-Chief at Inside Higher Ed. Kelly Field and Eric Kelderman are contributors to The Chronicle of Higher Education. Each offered their perspective on key issues such as the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act under a Republican-controlled Congress, the impacts of the economy on higher education, the upcoming presidential election, and the shift of leadership within the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP). Additional commentary regarding accreditation, progress toward President Obama’s 2020 goals for higher education, gainful employment, and state environments is also offered.
