A view of a dirt courtyard from the second story rooftop of DeMeritt hall (not pictured). Hewitt Hall and the heating plant smoke stacks are on the right. A row of cars parked next to a small building known as the "gun shed", in front of the garage building, can be seen on the left. Piles of dirt and construction material can be seen between the garage and Hewitt Hall. This image was taken in Durham, New Hampshire on October 28, 1924 as part of landscape architect Bremer W. Pond's project number 143 and is number 66 in his index.
