Description

Fairchild Hall and the Commons, now known as Huddleston Hall, as seen from beside Main Street, right. A newly constructed sidewalk runs parallel in front of the men's dormitories and fencing surrounds freshly planted lawns and shrubbary. Three sets of steps lead from the sidewalk to Main Street where a car faces southeast. This image was taken in Durham, New Hampshire on July 16, 1927 as part of landscape architect Bremer W. Pond's project number 143 and is number 188 in his index.
