Abstract

This video shares findings from the Paraeducators' Experience Project, a research and planning project funded through a Spencer Vision Grant. The team—academic researchers, paraeducators, and university instructors—created, distributed, and analyzed surveys about paraeducators' roles in schools throughout New Hampshire. Surveys were followed up by focus groups with paraeducators and classroom teachers as well as interviews with administrators. Findings include a discussion of paraeducators' wide range of primary roles, the many other duties that paraeducators also complete daily, and barriers to paraeducators' workplace success.

This video is best accompanied by the Paraeducators' Experience Project Presentation Slides and PEP Presentation 1-pager, also within this collection.
