Abstract
This Occupational Therapy Doctoral Capstone Project aims to develop comprehensive resources for patients and therapists on the Female Athlete Triad and Hypermobility in an outpatient rehabilitative setting. With completion of comprehensive literature and needs assessment, the need was determined for tangible, multi-disciplinary resources encompassing all aspects of both the triad and hypermobility symptomatology. The capstone student created resource packets and binders for both patients and therapists. Outcomes were measured using pre-and-post survey completion. Patient surveys yielded one completed pre-and-post survey with an increase in mean responses by 1 point on the Likert scale. Therapist survey responses yielded 11 responses for the pre-survey, and 5 responses for the post-survey. All questions increased for mean scores on the Likert scales between the pre-and-post time points. Based on completion of resources and outcome measures, an increase in knowledge and awareness of how to address these two topics in a rehabilitative setting was accomplished by the capstone student and capstone team.
