Abstract
The Human Resources Manager Self Service Project (MSS) is part of Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital’s (DH) Enterprise Support Services Strategic Pillar, supporting the organization’s mission and vision of creating a sustainable health system. The Manager Self Service initiative will allow all Management Staff across the DH organization the ability to view and modify employee Human Resources, Benefit Status and Payroll data. Management staff will be empowered to easily assess work force information utilizing a Manager Dashboard, aligning to the vision and culture of the DH Strategy by creating an engaged and empowered workforce.
This project was selected because of its high organizational impact by simplifying managerial functions across all Dartmouth Hitchcock organizations and their affiliates. The Manager Self Service initiative combines both the traditional waterfall and agile Project Management approaches to deliver the PeopleSoft’s Manager Dashboard functionality quickly, positioning the Dartmouth Hitchcock Human Resources and IT departments to bring on affiliate organizations.
